Chaplain Crowley is the Executive Chaplain for COPC (Central Oregon Police Chaplaincy) having served them full time for almost 8 years. He is a certified Master Chaplain with the International Conference of Police Chaplaincy and serves this International Organization as the Regional Director for the States of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Wyoming and Montana. He is a certified instructor with the ICISF – International Critical Incident and Stress Foundation. Chaplain Crowley is a member of the Central Oregon CISM – Critical Incident Stress Management – team. He has been asked to serve on the OSP – Oregon State Police – CIRT – Critical Incident and Response Team state wide. COPC presently serves the three counties of Central Oregon and the Law Enforcement, Fire and Dispatchers located within the Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook County Boundaries. COPC has as well been requested by Law Enforcement, Fire and Dispatch to assist with Chaplaincy formation with Baker County, Coos County and Lake County. He is presently working with the recently retired State Fire Marshall Randy Simpson creating a State Wide “Response Team” to raise the standard and utilize training for chaplain applicants that would qualify in responding to state wide fire needs. Chaplain Crowley and selected COPC Chaplains serve and support the local Military Missions with assisting them in making Casualty Notifications. We are one of a few Civilian Chaplaincies requested to assist the military with this responsibility. He has served Bend PD previously as a Volunteer Chaplain responding to Law Enforcement, Fire and Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office needs for almost 19 years in Central Oregon. Chaplain Crowley has been married for nearly 38 years, has 3 children who reside in Central Oregon and 6 grandchildren. He enjoys Bow Hunting, Fly-fishing, and Hiking, Cross Country Skiing, Camping and outdoor recreation of all kinds. He loves serving First Responders and keeping them healthy.

 

He is an Approved Instructor with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation in the following courses:
